Employee working in this position should have knowledge and understanding of medical terminology for anatomy and pathologic disease. Employee should have computer and customer service skills.Minimum Requirements: High school graduate and completion of a Phlebotomy course. Prior experience preferred. On the job training is provided. Experience with computers helpful. Medical terminology and knowledge of laboratory science, anatomy, and pathologic disease helpful and preferred. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care in his/her assigned department. The individual must demonstration knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
