Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, student employment position with no benefits. This student employee will assist the STEM Laboratory Manager and Safety Compliance Officer and their designee in the operation and maintenance of the biology and chemistry laboratories, and the associated preparation spaces.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Assist in laboratory maintenance including:
* Cleaning glassware;
* Assisting with laboratory cleaning, organization, and stocking of supplies;
* Assisting with putting up safety signage;
* Assist with inventory operations;
* Assist in preparing materials for laboratory classes.

Required Qualifications:
* Academically successful/GPA of 2.5 or higher;
* Consistent and reliable work habits;
* Quick learner and motivated;
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
* Strong organizational skills;
* Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment;
* Ability to use Microsoft Excel.

Salary Range: $19 per hour
