Works under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Assistant Manager and general direction of the Laboratory Director. Works with our senior staff to collect samples, process samples, perform tests, and record and analyze results of CLIA-waived and/or moderate complex routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory analyses.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education
High School Diploma or GED required; Graduate from an accredited phlebotomy, lab assistant training program, or laboratory technology program preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
West Virginia Clinical Laboratory Practitioner License/Trainee License or West Virginia Clinical Laboratory Point of Care Technician License.
Certified in phlebotomy, lab assistant, MLT, or equivalent by a nationally recognized agency (i.e. NHA, ASPT, ASCP, or AMT).
