ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform routine tasks, such as printing cassettes and slides• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety and chemical regulations as outlined in StageBio's SOPs• Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology• Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Must be capable of understanding StageBio's SOPs• Be very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork • Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing• Ability to work both independently and in a team environmentThe physical demands and essential functions described here are representative of those that must be met, with or without reasonable accommodation. Any employee in need of a reasonable accommodation must contact Human Resources.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:• High school diploma required• College degree in the Sciences or 3 years' experience in a similar role preferredREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:• Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology • Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Must be capable of understanding StageBio's SOPs• Be very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork• Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) up to 60% of the time• Occasionally required to traverse throughout the laboratory or to retrieve equipment, supplies or specimens• The employee is required to operate computer keyboard, laboratory instruments, and small laboratory tools such as pipettes, cutting instruments, glass tubes, dishes and/or slides• Prolonged vision requirements including viewing computer screen and paper reports/documents• Visual acuity is required to distinguish fine gradation of color or structure and closely examine specimens• Exposure to toxins exist, but potential for personal injury or harm is minimized if established safety and health precautions are followed• Able to read and understand all Safety Guidelines applicable to assigned work area• Working in laboratory environment and working around lab equipment Use of personal protective equipment may be advised or requiredStageBio offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer sponsored health insurance, short-term and long-term disability, AD&D, life insurance for employees and dependents, flexible paid time off, 401(k) with match, and paid standard and floating holidays.
