General summary:
Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director, performs delegated functions, including, but not limited to: Preparation and management of staff schedules, prepares Kronos time sheets for sign off by Laboratory Administrative Director, management of time off requests, provides confidential administrative support to the Laboratory Administrative Director, provides oversight to phlebotomy operations including training of lab and hospital staff in all aspects of specimen collection and processing, send outs to reference labs and ensures ongoing training and competency. Assists all lab department leads and Lab Quality & Point of Care Coordinator with various tasks as assigned.
Education/Skills Required:
1. High School or GED equivalency
2. 5 years previous phlebotomy experience (Certification preferred)
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
