Job DescriptionAre you looking for a meaningful role where your driving skills contribute to patient health and well-being? We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Driver to join our team and ensure the timely and safe transport of critical medical specimens, supplies, and reports between healthcare facilities and laboratories. As a Laboratory Driver, you will play an essential part in our operations by ensuring that medical specimens, including blood, tissue, and other samples, are delivered promptly and safely for testing. Your efficiency and attention to detail will help ensure that patients receive timely diagnoses and treatments. This position delivers reports, collection supplies, and other lab-related items to providers' offices. This position safely operates and cares for TriHealth's Lab vehicles and interacts with the Lab's customers in a manner consistent with TriHealth's Service Standards Agreements. This position also stocks collection supplies in the Lab's storeroom. This is position is PRN (as the need arises), covering vacations or days off. Day shift (10AM to 6:30PM), no holidays, and weekends as need it.Work Hours: * PRN (Wednesday and as needed) * Day shift from 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM * Weekends rotation only, no holidays. Location: * McCullough Hyde Hospital (Will travel to other locations, company car) Minimum Job Requirements * High School Degree or GED * Valid driver's license with no more than 4 points on Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) * Ability to follow written instructions and work under limited supervision * Knowledge of handling medical specimens or the ability to learn proper specimen handling procedures preferred but not required. * Excellent communication skills, with a customer service mindset. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deliveries * Up to 1 year experience in a related fieldKey Responsibilities: • Safely transport medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and test results between hospitals, clinics, and our central laboratory. • Maintain the integrity of medical specimens by following proper handling, storage, and transportation protocols, including temperature control. • Ensure timely deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes and responding to urgent requests as needed. • Complete accurate documentation for all specimen transfers, ensuring proper labeling and tracking for each delivery. • Communicate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to coordinate deliveries and manage any unexpected delays. • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, including infection control and biohazard handling protocols.Working Conditions Climbing - Frequently Concentrating - Consistently Continuous Learning - Consistently Hearing: Conversation - Consistently Hearing: Other Sounds - Consistently Interpersonal Communication - Consistently Kneeling - Occasionally Lifting
