SciTech Services, Inc. Laboratory Manager (Lab Manager) Bethesda , Maryland Apply Now Clearance Requirement : Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a favorable suitability determination and pass an employment drug screening.SciTech Services is seeking a Laboratory Manager with experience providing laboratory operations support to the National Institutes of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). The Laboratory Manager will facilitate the smooth functioning of the laboratory by ensuring proper functioning of all equipment; availability of supplies; renewal of software licenses; and compliance with safety regulations.Duties include but are not limited to:Schedule and host hybrid weekly lab meetings (Zoom and room 520).Process POTS and CAPS orders, receiving items, and adding fees, conference registrations, and FAES course requests.Assist in filling out SF-82 forms for FAES courses.Manage budget and all yearly software contract renewals.Maintain laboratory property list and serve as point of contact.Ensure inter and intra websites are updated.Assist with maintaining calendar and scheduling lab meetings.Update Lee Laboratory Time Off Calendar.Access and maintain FreezerPro logs.Serve as emergency contact for access to REES system for freezer maintenance.Point of contact for safety inspections, ACUC inspections, and dental clinic regarding patient samples.Pick up, deidentify and store patient DNA samples.Keep up REDcap access.Take CITI Good Clinical Practice Course, Biomedical 101, and maintain 3-year renewal trainings.Complete Biological Shipment Training and be responsible for all biological shipments out of the lab.Perform weekly eye wash stations rinses and log action.Renew annual lab coat cleaning contract and provide service oversight.Schedule annual pipette cleaning and calibrating.Co-administrator for all electronic lab notebooks.Monitor laboratory supplies and order stock when low.Schedule chemical waste pick up.Job RequirementsBachelors degree in biology, chemistry, or related discipline.Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in laboratory management.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.Exceptional organizational leadership, and time management skills.Equal Opportunity Employer including Disability and Veterans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
