Include but are not limited to 1) managing preparation, set-up, and clean-up for teaching labs and classes 2) oversight of the day to day activities of the Technician I assistant; 3) managing and maintaining the preparation rooms, lab and classroom space, and equipment 4) maintaining Drosophila and microbial stocks and preparing media for these organisms 5) ensuring that all laboratory materials, protocols and procedures adhere to safety requirements 6) establishing, troubleshooting, and documenting protocols for lab experiments 7) Drosophila fly collections 8) assisting of graduate student Teaching Assistants with Drosophila fly collections and 9) maintaining inventory and ordering supplies. This position requires laboratory experience with attention to detail and the ability to adapt procedures and protocols.
