The Laboratory Technician participates in inspecting and testing of incoming material, product in process, and finished goods and the physical operation of the Quality System. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Updating and Revisions of Documentation, Procedures, and Manuals.
  • Maintain System for record keeping and traceability and document control.
  • Maintain Calibration System and Records.
  • Perform Calibration on In-House Equipment.
  • Complete Testing and Product Disposition.
  • Operate the Company's inspection and test procedures for Incoming Materials.
  • Inform management of any abnormal situations which cannot be successfully dealt with.
  • Aid in maintaining United Felts Metric System
  • Release of Conforming Product.
  • Work in a safe manner always by following the company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform all paperwork documentation on either computer or hard copy.
Education and Experience:
  • GED/High School Diploma.
  • Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training.
Typical Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
  • Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs. on a continuous basis.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but could include shift work, weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
