Job Description:
Qualified biology instructors are needed to fill lecture and laboratory positions within the Lab Sciences Department to begin January of 2025. Duties may include teaching lecture and/or laboratory in Human Anatomy and Physiology 1, and/or Human Anatomy and Physiology 2. We are looking for instructors to teach during traditional daytime hours, evening, and Saturday sessions as well.
Requirements:
Instructors teaching in the department should have a master's degree, with specific anatomy and physiology, or related professional experience. A bachelor's degree may be sufficient to fill a vacancy with related experience and coursework.
Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants. Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur.
The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters. When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews.
Level A - $665/credit hour
Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
