The successful applicant will manage the global daily operations of the Innovation Lab, coordinating related logistics as the primary point of contact for the research teams, and support the New York Site lead with site administration responsibilities such as PO and supply ordering management. As part of the Lab Ops team, the candidate will contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Innovation group toward the development of differentiated therapeutic approaches using our gene editing technologies. Candidates should be highly self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-moving, goal-oriented environment. Job DescriptionTitle Lab Supervisor, Lab Operations Reports to NY Lab Head Location New York, NY PurposeResponsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize daily operations in a wet lab environment.
- Coordinate maintenance, including service contracts, preventative maintenance, calibration scheduling, SOPs, and tracking of all lab equipment.
- Assist with logistics of lab space allocation.
- Build productive strong collaborations with internal and external partners, including procurement/accounting, facilities, and vendors
- Serve as point of contact for all lab-related vendors.
- Maintain and optimize processes within the lab to increase efficiency and effectiveness including management of biologics inventory, lab consumables, and chemicals.
- Anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems (logistical or administrative) associated with work within the laboratory.
- Collaborate with environmental health and safety (EHS) and acts as a liaison for the scientific staff.
- Prep Lab related tasks such as reagents/solutions preparation, lab consumable resupply, waste and glassware management (cleaning/autoclave).
- New York Site administrative responsibilities e.g. badging, supply ordering, PO management and site support
- Other responsibilities as needed and appropriate to support the research labs and New York site.

Requirements
- BS/MS or higher in life science or related discipline.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of the processes and protocols required in a scientific research organization.
- Experience in Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Candidates should be authorized to work in the U.S., preferably without the need for current, or future, sponsorship.
- Role is based in New York, NY.
Physical Requirements Sedentary - primarily involves sitting and/or standing. Laboratory work performed within a BSL1 and BSL2 environments. Communicates with others on a daily basis to exchange information. Salary Range $77,000-95,000
