Job Code: 24-036-01LEMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician I (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or water.Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments.Able to perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, volumetric measurements, and the utilization of analytical balances.Perform basic calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained.Be comfortable in a laboratory setting involving the handling of common laboratory reagents, such as acids, bases, and organic solvents.Perform all chemical handling safely following laboratory procedures.Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality control procedures established for each analytical method.
