The Laboratory Technician I must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position will perform a standard set of physical property testing, chemical composition testing, sampling, sample receipt and data report generation functions.Job Responsibilities:
  • Receives and logs samples into the computer system;
  • Calculates and report data results;
  • Assist with Statistical Quality Control testing, calibrations and preventative maintenance;
  • Obtains representative samples at various client locations such as tanks and gas pumps;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite to perform job functions;
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations including algebra and statistics;
  • Valid driver license and auto insurance required.
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree in Chemistry or other science highly preferred.Relocation:This position is not eligible for relocation.Travel Requirements:This position does not require travel.Work Schedule:This position will work 8 hours Monday-Friday in SPL's Freeport, TX location. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines and is required to be part of the On Call program on a rotating schedule.
