This position requires active participation in research laboratory activities. This individual will participate in basic science laboratory procedures including routine experiments using both cell culture and transgenic mouse models of erythropoiesis. Research will require experience with cell culture, mouse breeding/genotyping, FACS analyses, polymerase chain reaction, cloning techniques, tissue culture procedures, and fluorescent antibody detection. This position will involve handling mice and analyzing erythropoiesis in both embryos and adult animals. The technician must be able to work in a collaborative environment and must be comfortable working with mice.
