ESL's vision is to be recognized as a leader in achieving technical excellence and to be its customers' best resource.Laboratory Technician-GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs Laboratory Technician you will perform analytical testing and associated techniques on environmental samples. Apply quality principles and adhere to the laboratory's quality policy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs routine analytical testing and associated lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with ESL's method and QA standards. Ability to grow and trained on complex instrumentation.Preparation of samples, standards and reagents using ESL's standard operating procedures.Performing chemical analysis, recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.Performing routine analytical instrument maintenance.Comply with safety rules and regulations to include determining proper handling procedures of samples and laboratory chemicals.May be expected to perform job related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific related knowledge.Qualifications- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should be self-motivated, ambitious, hardworking, and able to work independently with an eye for attention to detail, and basic computer skills. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Education requirements: High School Diploma. BS or BA in chemistry, biology, environmental science or related desired but not required.
