Darigold is looking for a Lab Technician to join our team in Spokane, WA. The Laboratory Technician must possess the desire and ability to perform analytic tests on company products.The Laboratory Technician's role is to ensure that all products' analytical, micro, and organoleptic properties comply with product and regulatory specifications.What You Will Do
- Plating Lab samples for Coliform, Standard Plate Count, and Mold/Yeast
- Reading and interpreting all above plating results
- Documenting all data clearly and accurately
- Understanding possible causes or contributing factors for plates not meeting standards
- Operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting the Milk analyzer
- Computer:Lab Data, Charts, Spreadsheets, E-mail
- Babcock Butterfat Testing
- ATP Swabbing
- Environmental Swabbing
- Appendix N Testing (Antibiotic Testing)
- Phosphates Testing
- Instrument and Thermometer Calibration
What You Bring:
- Minimum of an AA with studies in microbiology, BS preferred
- One year experience in dairy or food quality assurance systems is a plus
Nice to Have's
- Good math skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others.
- Good organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task.
- Good computer skills.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Excellent attendance and work history
- Good understanding of GMPs
