Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
There will be 8 hours of overtime every other week. 12 hour shifts, 3 or 4 days per week.
Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine analysis of products and document test results in databases.
- Perform and monitor calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on analytical instruments.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products.
- Communicate test results to internal customers and maintain updated customer specifications.
- Support food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory culture improvements through cross-functional collaboration.
- Handle administrative, technical, and customer support tasks, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
- Write routine reports and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent experience (5 years preferred).
- Ability to complete background check and drug test.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in documenting results and using active databases.
- Experience in adhering to safety and quality protocols.
