Job detailsLaboratory Technician - Midland, TXKelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Direct Hire Lab Technician position at an oil and gas company in Midland, TX.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample analysis and experimentation
- Perform organic solvent extraction and sample preparation
- Operate and maintain GC-FID equipment, including sample preparation, analysis, interpretation, calibration, and recovery calculations
- Report writing which may include interpretation of results
- Use of a LIMS for sample management and reporting
- Engage with all levels of the organization, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Sciences, or Engineering
- 1-2 years of industry experience, particularly in relevant fields
- Proficiency in GC-FID
- Must possess a TWIC card
Preferred Skills (Training Available):
- Experience in liquid chromatography, oil and gas analysis, BTEX analysis, and oil and grease analysis is advantageous but not mandatory
