Job Summary
The Laborer performs tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort within the Shipping and Receiving department.
Primary Duties

* Load and unload trucks, and other conveyances.
* Move supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
* Stack materials for storage or binning, collect reuse and salvageable materials.
* Move and arrange heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances per customer request.
Additional Responsibilities
* Maintain all safety requirements while performing tasks.
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
* High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to perform routine tasks on special class mail as well as routine and repetitive tasks for long periods with minimum supervision.
* Must be able to stand, reach, and walk for long periods of time.
* Ability to make minor decisions regarding shipping/receiving issues and questions.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Supervision Received
The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
