DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and general labor functions throughout the Production and Entrée Departments (possibly on different shifts) to include learning all aspects of the Production and Entrée operation's line flow and set up of products for production.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to:Supervisor and/or LeadSupervises: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to pay attention to detail and be accurate and efficient in recordkeeping
  • Must physically be able to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 0-1 year of experience in the industrial food industryDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Stacks boxes of products on pallets and shrink wraps for storage. 2) Inspects finished product for quality and proper labeling. 3) Packs finished product into boxes or totes, inspects pallets, boxes, and totes for defective units not to be used; places poly liners in totes; assures proper weights; and stacks and shrink wraps for storage as needed. 4) Learns the line flow and sets up production of various products for the Production Department. 5) Cleans machinery as applicable. 6) Ensures the work areas are clean and in accordance with good housekeeping practices. 7) Performs various checks and does paperwork throughout the shift ensuring accuracy and legible handwriting. 8) Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality polices and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc. 9) Adheres to common safety practices and procedures, including the wearing of proper PPE's when necessary. 10) Reports safety issues immediately to Supervisor and/or Lead. 11) Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity. 12) Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead.
