**Description**

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Follow all PSI rules and regulations

Willingness to perform job functions

Frequently cleans and maintains shop area

Occasionally performs minor ship preparation such as grinding

Occasionally removes and redresses lugs and pad eyes

Install handrails and remove handrails per shipyard regulations and requirements

Occasionally sweeps, paints, accumulates skids, parts

Frequently keeps work area organized

Work as a fire watch when required and while hot work is being performed

Work as a hole watch when required

Performs other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Knowledge of Metrics is preferredEnvironmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried out indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions. *Philly Shipyard is a TOBACCO FREE facility. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS**This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.

**OTHER DUTIES**

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
