Summary/Objective: The Laborer is responsible for physical labor at construction sites.Compensation & Benefits: The wage for this position is $24 per hour, dependent upon experience and ability. Full time regular employees in this position will qualify to participate in group dental and vision insurance plans. All regular full-time employees are provided an employer paid basic life insurance policy, and eligible employees can participate in the Company's SIMPLE IRA retirement plan. This position is eligible for paid time off and sick leave benefits, after minimum time requirements are met. The Company also provides profit sharing bonuses twice per year.Supervision Received: Works under the direct supervision of the On-Site Superintendent.Supervision Exercised: This position has no supervisory responsibility.Essential Functions: The listed examples may not include all of the duties of this position.May operate hand and power tools of all types Clean and prepare sites Dig ditches or trenches using picks, shovels and rakes Load and unload materials Clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials Must be self-motivated and able to find activities to occupy time that will improve skill and job knowledge Assist other craft workers Regular and predictable attendance is required Performs other work as requiredMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education: A high school graduate (or GED) preferred, but not requiredExperience: No experience requiredRequired Knowledge & Ability: Must be able to read, understand and interpret documents Must have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Must take direction from others, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the point being made, and asking questions, as appropriatePhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
