As a proud equal opportunity employer, reasonable accommodations may be available to enable individuals with disabilities to complete the application and interview process as well as perform the essential functions of a role.About the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA):IDOA helps to ensure the smooth function of state government, finding efficient and effective solutions to government-wide needs.Salary Statement:The salary for this position traditionally starts at $31,668.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:Serve as a general maintenance person to inspect and maintain all facilities, grounds, and equipment.Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.Ensure all employees are properly trained to operate equipment and are properly educated to follow established safety policies and procedures.Direct, assist, and support recreational special events as needed.Assist with purchasing and inventory of incoming supplies, materials, and repair parts.Responsible for major and minor equipment, vehicle, and vessel repairs.Maintain grounds which may include mowing, weeding, aerating, spraying, fertilizing, and tree trimming or removal.Responsible for maintaining all roads such as painting, snow plowing, sanding, and salting, repaving, or repairing.Responsible for providing public safety on property, provide assistance in an emergency, or aid in rescue of accident victims.Assist law enforcement with investigation of illegal activities on properties.May assist and perform wildlife resource managementWorkday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position.The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
