We strive to hire tradesmen directly from the communities where we work to leverage local knowledge and local relationships to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget.Brice performs large heavy civil construction operations to include large scale civil projects, drainage, repair of earthen dams and levees, roadways, bridges, airfields, parks, ranges, and stormwater management, water supply, wastewater collection, and on-site wastewater treatment systems for federal, states, and local entities.What can you expect?As the Laborer, you are responsible for performing various tasks to support daily operations at a construction site. You will perform tasks involving physical labor such as cleaning and preparing the job site, loading, and delivering materials, setup and take-down of ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary shoring. You will assist craft workers using a variety of hand tools and power tools as required by the Foreman or Field Civil Superintendent.How will you do it?You will perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects.You will perform trade for long hours, day after day, often in adverse conditions, to complete the project at hand.You will follow project plans and instructions by the Foreman and Superintendent.You will assist the project Foreman and Superintendent on daily tasks.You will assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.You will perform material handling and storage.You will load, unload, haul, and hoist materials.You will operate air, electric, and pneumatic hand tools.You will maintain a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment, removal of all construction debris and trash, sweeping the area clean, and securing the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.You will clean and maintain equipment used on the job.You will comply with all safety requirements and participate in safety meetings.You will review daily task assignments and clarify any material needs with the supervisor.You will work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Perform other duties as directed.Supervisory Responsibilities:No supervisory responsibilities.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:All around knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in the construction field.Knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry Safety Regulations.Ability to work proficiently with hand and po er tools.Ability to safely utilize tools and equipment in the performance of duties.Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.Ability to participate in group meetings, take direction from supervisor(s) and other crew members, high degree of attention to detail, follow work rules, and adhere to project schedule.Ability to actively listen and follow instructions.Ability to work productively under pressure and to pay attention to the details of a project or task.Strong self-motivation and work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.Ability to operate man-lift and material handling equipment (fork-lift and/or skid steer).Ability to work a flexible schedule sometimes including weekends and holidays.Who is Brice Construction and Design LLC looking for?Minimum Qualifications:One year experience as a Construction Laborer preferred.OSHA-30 or OSHA-10 Construction Industry Safety Certification preferred.Previous experience with underground utilities preferred.Ability to pass drug and background screening.More reasons you will love working with Brice Construction and Design LLC:Competitive wages and bonus programs - We believe in developing our employees to progressively advance in their careers.
