Summary About the Position: The incumbent will perform a variety of classroom support functions for the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth. Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive: Move furniture and equipment to set up classroom configurations in support of the schedule. Prioritize assigned tasks to accomplish them in a timely manner. Deliver publications and other classroom support materials as needed. Assist in the execution of conferences, ceremonies, and special events. As necessary, assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance. Drive vehicles such as sedans, trucks, or vans to transport various tools and equipment to work sites. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operator) without more than normal supervision. Performing common laborer duties such driving automobiles and passenger vans, operating dollies, stacking and arranging supplies for storage in accordance with safety guidelines. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) The incumbent is required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and work on ladders. Operation of motorized vehicles/equipment requires light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Incumbent performs work outdoors, indoors, and in confined spaces. Outdoor work may be performed for long periods, under all weather conditions. Work may be performed in close proximity to coworkers or may be performed alone. Incumbent is exposed to moving objects and sharp edges with possibility of cuts and bruises, and be subject to noise and vibration from equipment. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
