**Laborer/Pipe Layer**

HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an experienced and energetic ***Pipe Layer***.
The ***Pipe Layer*** position is within our HEC region, where we are a leader in in water/wastewater treatment plant construction in addition to municipal pipe projects.
The Pipelayer position will report to the supervisor and will be responsible for a variety of duties in and around job site of construction projects. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in fast-paced environments. Must have the ability to work with and communicate with cross-functional teams.
* Complete tasks as directed by supervisor in a timely manner
* Maintain and clean work areas
* Locate, avoid, and protect existing underground utilities
* Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the companys policies
* Read and interpret grade instruments (tape measures, grade rods, levels, and lasers)
* Apply basic knowledge of soil types, trenching, and shoring per OSHA regulations
* Ability to work in trench boxes, deep excavations, and in confined spaces
* Understanding of water and sewer line installation

* Ability to use equipment properly and safely
* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
* Must have an acceptable safety record and be committed to working safely
* Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements
* Ability to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment
