Position Type: Substitute - Classified/LABORER SUB Date Posted: 7/1/2024 Location: Multiple Locations Closing Date: 07/01/2025 Substitute Laborer This position is a non-competiitive Civil Service position. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Performs routine manual tasks in a school district; performs related duties as required. COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES The duties performed are primarily of a manual and unskilled nature requiring physical endurance and a willingness to perform heavy work. Constant supervision is maintained over the work. TYPICAL DUTIES 1. Collects garbage and rubbish. 2. Loads and unloads trucks. 3. Cleans and shovels walks. 4. Cuts grass, trims shrubs, rakes leaves, cuts brush, spades flower beds. 5. Washes walls, windows, trucks and buses. 6. Performs a variety of heavy building and cleaning work. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 1. Ability to follow instructions. 2. Ability to lift heavy weights. 3. Ability to work under all weather conditions. 4. Good physical condition. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Training and Experience Any combination of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to do the work.
