Job Schedule: Per Diem Standard Hours: 1 Job Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: A minimum of 24 hours in 6 weekblocks.

Develops implements and evaluates breastfeeding process based on client data and documents information on patient response. Evaluates outcomes of planned interventions and teachings and modifies plan of care. Demonstrates procedures, techniques, equipment and devices to educate mothers and families on lactation. Reports to the manager.

Qualifications

Current Connecticut RN License.

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required). BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire. Current certification as International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required. Minimum 2500 hours breastfeeding/lactation consultancy (B/LC) practice with minimum 30 hours of continuing education related to breastfeeding in past 3 years. Minimum 3 years experience with B/LC practice and continuing education. Excellent communication skills.
