JOB TITLE: Lakeview Restaurant ChefPOSITION: A lead-by-example Chef who has a passion for seasonal ingredients and creating exceptionally delicious food, served with care and consistency.JOB DESCRIPTION: Lakeview restaurant offers breathtaking views of one of Skytop's lakes and our award-winning golf course. Drawing inspiration from contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, we are looking for an experienced Chef to use their skills in cooking and creativity to create amazing tastes and recipes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for exceptional food. REPORTS TO: Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef PRIMARY DUTIES & FUNCTIONS: Lakeview Chef Job Responsibilities: Must adhere to health and safety standards Supervising kitchen staff Directs food preparation and collaborates with executive chef Managing of supplies and cost Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste. Oversees and supervises kitchen staff. Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies. Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition. Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards. Prepares food properly. Schedules staff shifts. Trains new employees. Orders food supplies. Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment. It is necessary to be able to use all kitchen equipment. This also includes effective communication skills, honesty and a good philosophy and work ethic. High school graduate or equivalent required; culinary school or hospitality management preferred. Proven success in efficiently managing kitchen operations in a high-volume kitchen environment. Job requires standing, bending and walking throughout all shifts. Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds safely and work in humid high temperature conditions.Salary Description $55,000 - $65,000+
