**Lance Camper Decatur - Assembler I**
**Location:** Decatur, IN, US, 46733 * Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Work with other members of the assembly process to complete coaches within the allotted time frame.
* Troubleshoot all systems and repair defects.
* Documents actions by completing production and quality forms and r eport repetitive quality issues.
* Identify and report errors when found on Prints and Bills of Materials
* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
* Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
* Assist in training assemblers of all skill levels.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Other duties and responsibilities as required.
* A high school diploma or GED
* Must be capable of using a variety of hand and air tools for sustained periods of time as required.
* Must be able to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
* Ability to reason and solve problems as they arise.
* Read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate in English
* Capable of accurately reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
* Must be able to differentiate between color shades.
* Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
* Must be able to prioritize and exercise independent judgment
* Must be able to lift 40 pounds
* Good hand to eye coordination
* Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
* Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun.
* Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#s without assistance.
* Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
* Ability to work with arms above head.
* Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
* Ability to stand at a workstation for eight hours a day (minus specified breaks).
* Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
* Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
* Must be able to endure repetitive motions (hand crimping).
* Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
