We are currently seeking representatives for potential Transmission and/or Renewable Energy projects throughout the United States. Interested individuals should have a solid understanding of the principles of renewable energy development and/or linear acquisition along with the ability to successfully convey those to project stakeholders. WHAT YOU WILL DOThis position resides in our Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate Division and will support right-of-way acquisition, land leasing, permitting, and construction support for, wind, solar, electric, and oil and gas projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing trust and building the foundation for a long-term positive relationship between the client and landowner.
- Making independent decisions in working with landowners and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
- Coordinating meetings with landowners and appropriate project stakeholders on site or at mutually agreeable locations.
- Explaining project scope, timelines, processes, contracts, financial agreements, and any other pertinent date to the landowner.
- Providing regular status reports to the project managers on the status of land acquisition and permitting tasks assigned.
- Preparing all necessary agreement documents and/or permitting forms that may be necessary for the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Right-of-Way acquisition, real estate sales, negotiating leases, renewable development, or equivalent related experiences.
- Previous solar, wind, oil and gas, or electric transmission project experience is required.
- Ability to work independently in varied and remote settings, both in the field and with clients and other professionals
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office software.
- Solid understanding of ArcGIS software and Google Earth.
- Ability to navigate and locate specific properties in the field.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work in order to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to travel and conduct overnight work away - over 80 percent.
- Work outside normal business hours
- Current valid driver's license with personal vehicle suitable for field work (mileage is reimbursed)
