This section is responsible for representing the State of Michigan to negotiate complex real estate projects including, but not limited to, easements, jurisdictional transfers, licenses. conveyances of surplus real property, acquisitions of real property, State-as-Lessor Leases, and restrictive covenants to serve the best interests of the State. Additionally, this position provides expert guidance to staff members in producing analysis, development and implementation of department policies and procedures as they relate to the aforementioned real estate projects. Serves as DTMB's main liaison to other parties involved in those transactions including state agencies and other governments. Performs special real estate related research projects as assigned.
