Sterling Engineering Support Services (SES2), a unit of iQuasar LLC for one of their clients is seeking to fill Land Surveyor position for Topographic, ROW, ALTA, and construction surveys. We are currently seeking a vibrant, self -motivated Land Surveyor for our offices in Buffalo, Albany and New York City.

One of our clients in Albany/Buffalo New York City, needs a Land Surveyor for a permanent position.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a candidate experienced with New York State Department of Transportation Land Surveying Standards.Responsibilities
- Perform survey work involving boundary, topographic, utility, construction, laser scanning, GPS, and other surveys.
- Collect field data using total station, GPS receivers, high definition laser scanners, digital levels, etc.
- Instruct, manage, and direct Instrument Operator
- Verify the accuracy of measurements taken by your crew; keep accurate records, notes, and sketches of the work performed
- Daily coordination with Project Manager, Field Crew and CADD Technicians
- Post-processing of field data
- Performing office calculations for land surveying projects and checking of field data accuracy
Qualifications
- Expert utilization knowledge of Data Collectors & Total Stations
- Willingness and ability to travel routinely, including overnight stays
- Leadership skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Health and Safety training is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in one of the following: land surveying, engineering, geography, geology, mathematics, or applied science (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
- Experience with Laser Scanning is a plus
- Experience with Carlson / AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation V8i with Bentley InRoads is a plus
- Use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
