Job Description:
Overview: The Landscape Architect will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the development of outdoor spaces, ensuring that they are functional, sustainable, and visually appealing. This role involves collaboration with our sales team, project managers, subcontractors, and clientsto transform ideas into detailed plans and successful projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, plant ecology, and urban planning, coupled with excellent design and communication skills.Skill set and educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.Strong knowledge of plant species, ecological systems, and landscape construction methods.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A passion for sustainable design and a commitment to environmental stewardship.Familiarity with irrigation design and water management systems preferred.Knowledge of green infrastructure, stormwater management, and erosion control practices preferred.Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.Previous experience working with Aspire software is a plus. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop creative landscape design concepts that align with client needs and project goals.Conduct site analysis, including assessments of soil, vegetation, and site features.Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and construction documents using CAD and other design software.Select appropriate plant materials, water features, and hardscape elements to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional goals.Collaborate with clients, project managers, sales team, and subcontractors to ensure the project vision is maintained throughout the design and construction process.Incorporate sustainability and environmental best practices into designs, including stormwater management, native planting, and energy efficiency.Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies.Conduct site visits to oversee the implementation of the design and make necessary adjustments.Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
