If this resonates, we want to know you at Clean Scapes. Clean Scapes is the largest commercial landscaping contractor based in Texas, with locations in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Forth Worth, and Houston. Our experts are committed to excellence, offering a variety of services from pre-construction and construction to maintenance and enhancements. SUMMARY OF POSITION

As a Landscape Designer at Clean Scapes, you will play an important role in transforming outdoor spaces. The designer will develop comprehensive proposals, manage the design processes, and ensure projects meet or exceed our quality standards and client expectations.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and Planning: Lead the planning and design of projects from conception to completion. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, providing unique and high-quality designs.
  • Site Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of sites, assessing existing conditions such as plants, soil, lighting, and architecture to ensure compatibility with proposed designs.
  • Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients and other stakeholders throughout the design and installation processes, setting realistic expectations and emphasizing the value of professional design services.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications, actively making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with Enhancement Managers and Account Managers to deliver tailored design proposals and ensure cohesive project progression.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks to maintain the integrity of design and implementation.
  • Sales and Pipeline Management: Actively update and manage personal and departmental sales pipelines to track project statuses and revenue.
  • Operational Support: Provide specific instructions and details to operational teams to assist in project execution.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A degree in landscape design preferred. However, while a degree is impressive, we recognize that what's on paper doesn't define you. Many of us have honed our craft at work rather than school. We'll consider both as a foundation of talent.

  • Proficiency in CAD, Photoshop, and 3D rendering software.
  • Experience in designing commercial and/or large residential landscapes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, + ABILITIES

  • Service-oriented mindset—you love solving people's problems and are the first to raise your hand to help
  • Excellent communication skills, both for client interaction and internal collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and to set and achieve goals.
  • A team player who can interact effectively with people from a cross-section of people from different backgrounds and at all levels of a company.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a client-centric mindset.

Proud to be 100% Employee Owned

We believe that when employees have a stake in the results of their work, everyone benefits. From field employees, to managers, and eventually owners, our founders spent a lifetime working in the commercial landscape industry. They learned the value of committed, quality-oriented team members and a strong company culture. As such, in 2021, they chose to transition ownership of Clean Scapes to the employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), thereby establishing a legacy of hard work and collaboration. We are proud to say that as a 100% employee-owned company, our employees are now literally invested in the future of Clean Scapes.
