Job Description:

Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is currently searching for a highly-motivated, well-rounded Landscape Designer to join the Urban Planning and Design Group in our Austin, Dallas, or Frisco, TX office. FNI is a well-known, award-winning professional consulting firm with an outstanding reputation and culture. We serve municipalities across Texas and other regions of the United States.

This position requires a detailed-oriented landscape designer who will work with a project team to serve our clients on a variety of landscape architectural projects including parks and trails planning and design, urban design and streetscape design. Candidate must be well-organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will closely with an outstanding group of landscape architects and multi-discipline team members. The candidate will also work in a collaborative environment while learning and providing innovative and sustainable solutions and being a part of a team that strives to make the world a better place.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Work in a collaborative environment as part of a multi-discipline team.

* Perform work on all phases of various landscape architectural projects including master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction drawings.

* Perform research of city ordinances as they pertain to projects.

* Research of construction materials to determine appropriate selection for each project.

* Assist in the planning and coordination required to administer projects from the initial programming stages all the way through construction administration.

* Manage personal timeliness and technical correctness of a project to ensure high-quality work that fits within a client's budget and expectations.

Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture

* 2+ years of Landscape Architectural work experience.

* AutoCAD

* Experience preparing professional graphic exhibits using 3D computer modeling programs such as Sketchup and Lumion.

* Strong Adobe Photoshop graphic skills.

* Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.

* Strong writing, verbal communication skills.

* Excellent time management and prioritization capabilities.

Preferred:

* Landscape Architectural registration is not required, but candidate should be pursuing licensure.

* Civil 3D

* Microstation

* GIS Mapping
