04th June, 2024 Our client in the Buffalo/Niagara Region is seeking a Lathe Operator. This is an on-site/full-time/direct hire position. Hourly range based on experience: $24-$28Company Description Our customer is a family-owned and operated business located in Sanborn, NY that serves as a one-stop-shop for customers in the Heat Transfer Industry and Custom Design Manufacturing. For the Heat Transfer Industry, they build machinery and tooling used to make heat exchangers, such as Fins and Turbulators. Additionally, the company provides assembly and related equipment and tooling used in assembling heat exchangers. For Custom Design Manufacturing, the company is a leading manufacturer of fabrications, machined components, electro-mechanical assemblies, and custom machinery. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Lathe Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various lathes and other machining equipment to produce parts according to technical and engineering drawings. Qualifications
- Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawing skills
- Experience in Machine Operation, including Lathe operation and Milling
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- An Associate's Degree or Vocational certificate in machining or a related field is preferred
