Laundry AidePAY: $15.50 hourBENEFITS:Weekly PaychecksReferral BonusesFlexible SchedulesGenerous Paid Time OffJOB SUMMARY:The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring ancillary department linen and residents' clothing and linens are properly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed, and/or stored.Follows facility policies and performs job duties in compliance with OSHA universal precaution, infection control, and facility policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handles all facility laundry following sanitary guidelines set by federal, state, and local regulations
- Assures that an adequate supply of clean linens is maintained and distributed to all departments to meet daily needs.
- Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Uses proper formula for processing soiled linen to adequately clean/dry and protect linen.
- Applies basic math to fill carts and record poundage.
- Lifts and carries loads of laundry to and from cleaning equipment
- Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly and weighs linens
- Identifies and processes personal laundry with resident's name and labels personal clothing items
- Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms, closets, dressers and supply areas. Remove all empty hangers from the closets.
- Keeps washing machine supplied with chemical product at all times.
- Keeps work area clean and neat at all times and performs cleaning assignments as scheduled or directed
- Reports broken or defective equipment, other maintenance or safety concerns that present an unsafe or unsanitary condition to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Disposes waste properly in accordance to facility policy.
- Contributes to facility Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives as requested
- Maintains HIPAA privacy, security and confidentiality standards
- Follows facilities policies and procedures including Standard Precautions and Infection Control techniques ( handwashing /PPE
- Attends all meetings as requested by supervisor and Administrator
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
