Laundry Attendant. DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping. REPORTS TO: Manager or Designated Person. ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:To ensure a continuous supply of clean, high quality terries and linens to the hotel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:To communicate all guest requests to an appropriate supervisor in a timely and professional manner. To follow all specified procedures to satisfactorily perform routine laundry handling tasks as directed, including sorting and folding linens and terries; loading, unloading, and processing spa linens; and operating washers and dryers. To check laundry room chemicals daily, and notify supervisor when drum levels fall to half full. To maintain cleanliness and working order of all laundry room equipment, and promptly report any deficiencies. To assist, as directed, in other linen handling tasks, including culling, taking inventory, and recycling or disposal of outworn items.
