- Provides clean linens for guest rooms, dining and banquet facilities.
- Operates washers, dryers and presses; cleans all equipment daily including dryer filters; reports any malfunction promptly to the supervisor.
- Counts all soiled linens and records totals; soaks and rewashes soiled linens as needed. Treat soiled linens with body fluids (red bag items) as instructed.
- Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered items.
- Separates linens according to their classifications.
- Counts and records damaged linens and places them in designated areas.
- Follows established safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment and sharps policies.
- Provides assistance to other departments of the hotel to contribute to its smooth operation.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to guests and associates.
- Complies with all hotel policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
