Role and Responsibilities:

The Lead Laundry Assembler will assist with the supervision of a team of laundry assemblers; primarily composed of persons with disabilities and disabling conditions.

  • Assists with operation efficiency such as laundry assembling, training, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to established procedures.
  • Train new assemblers on laundry assembly techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance to ensure consistent performance.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Checking for cleanliness, proper folding, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Assist with organizing the workflow, assign tasks to assemblers, and prioritize jobs based on deadlines and urgency.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels of linens and supplies needed for assembly, and communicating any shortages or issues to management.
  • Assist in any issues that arise during the assembly process, such as equipment malfunctions or quality concerns, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum of One (1) year supervisory experience
  • Minimum of Two (2) years' experience working in a laundry setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (50) lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
