Provide assistance to the ambient water quality monitoring program. Job Functions:
- Participate in a law enforcement program related to shellfish programs activities, as well as other environmental activities regulated by the state.
- Assist in the implementation of a shellfish growing water sampling program. Assist in the implementation of state shellfish inspection programs.
- Transport and assist stream monitoring personnel in collection of data. Maintain all shellfish equipment.
- Compile all necessary administrative and shellfish program reports.
- Perform other duties as required, which include attending periodic staff meetings and training.
Minimum and Additional Requirements DES Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in the natural or physical sciences or related technical field; or an associate degree in the natural or physical sciences or related technical field and two (2) years of environmental health or related experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of environmental health or related experience.Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
