What You Will Do to Change Lives As a LBHP Counselor/Therapist, you will report to the Project Director and will supervise a team consisting of and up to 6 Family Peer Recovery Coaches in providing crisis intervention, assessment, and coordination of care (including Medical Care, MAT, Inpatient & Outpatient care as well as long term aftercare) for women who are pregnant and or parenting and are injecting drugs using illicit substances and/or opioids. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop agency contacts who serve women and educate them about VOAOK's services and program offerings and ability to provide Care Coordination and Case Management for pregnant and parenting women using drugs and opioids.
  • Provide onsite assessments at Juvenile, Drug Court settings, Child Welfare agencies, Health Clinics, Physician offices and other agencies.
  • Develop a comprehensive treatment plan in partnership with the woman served and in concert with Project Director, nurses and consulting physicians, based on a thorough review of assessment information and all relevant data.
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to women served, as needed.
  • Provide supervision and consultation to the Family Peer Recovery Coaches and assure they are performing the roles and duties as assigned in the treatment plan.
  • Keep current in the arena of drug abuse and treatment information, specifically current trends in opioid maintenance treatment.
  • Provide education and support on harm reduction, withdrawal management services, opioid agonist therapy, and risk management practices for opioid use.
QualificationsWhat You Will Bring:
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Have reliable transportation and be able to travel approximately 60% of work hours.
  • Proof of current liability automobile insurance (your name must be on the policy).
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation criminal history checks, and Community Service Registry Record checks.
Education/Licensing & Experience Requirements:
  • A Master's Degree in social work or counseling.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner (LBHP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with women experiencing substance abuse/addiction.
