Brief Job Insight:As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs. Your role involves creating a structured and supportive classroom environment that fosters both academic and personal growth. You will conduct regular assessments to identify students' educational needs and monitor their progress. Collaboration with general education teachers, specialists, and families will be essential in ensuring a holistic approach to student learning. Adapting curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles will be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of students' progress and IEP goals, ensuring compliance with educational standards. By providing emotional and social support, you will promote a positive and enriching learning experience for all students.Requirements
- Experience working early childhood caseload.
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. Master's degree is a plus!
- Have a Florida PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement (no other certification will be accepted at this time).
