Overview:

A LDAR Technician identifies future competencies and expertise required for the emissions tech role. This role develops learning plans and coaches peers on establishing priorities, problem-solving, and recognizing opportunities independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete LDAR and AVO inspections at production facilities and well sites, diagnosing and describing leaks accurately.
  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Basic troubleshooting of emissions equipment and minor repairs to production equipment.
  • Ensure proper operations and accurate data recording of production and emission control equipment.
  • Utilize SAP for work order and purchase order management.
  • Report incidents and spills immediately, ensuring compliance with state and federal air regulations.
  • Detect faulty operations and defective material, complying with safety regulations.
  • Collect and analyze information from various sources to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
  • Correlate information into clear reports, demonstrating a thorough understanding of processes and finding solutions.
  • Assist in selecting and implementing solutions, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Proactively set priorities and plan effectively with a realistic sense of time demands.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical or Environmental degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in O&G Environmental, leak detection and repair methods, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and calibration of valves, actuators, hatches, VRUs, and vents.
  • Familiarity with emergency response methodologies.
  • Demonstrated development and management of compliance procedures at facility level.
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform physical tasks (walking, bending, stooping), and lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, and respond to visual and audible alarms.
