STS Technical Services is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Chicago, Illinois.Job Description:Inspect, modify and repair aircraft at the maintenance base. Troubleshoots technical discrepancies and executes repairs of company aircraft. Leads and guides mechanics on advanced tasks. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation of troubleshooting equipment. Coordinates materials and tooling requirements for projected work. Schedules manpower to cover aircraft maintenance and inspections.Duties & Responsibilities:Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraftAccomplish aircraft inspections per company proceduresProficient in use of electronic test equipment, voltage or amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation troubleshooting equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical ordersInspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and toolingWork as a member of a team that will interface with contract maintenance personnelFollow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standardsCommunicate discrepancies to Maintenance Control department found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditionsEnsure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departureLeads and guides mechanics on advanced tasksOrganize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraftCoordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shiftAct as shift manager as requiredSchedule manpower to cover aircraft maintenance and inspectionsPerform Manual and Aircraft parts inventories as requiredAssist other company departments to ensure on-time departure of company aircraftAdditional duties assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentValid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate5+ years of experience in Line Maintenance on Boeing Aircraft1+ year of Lead experienceFormal training on advanced systems/avionics on Boeing aircraftMust be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English languageStrong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manualsStrong work ethic and organizational skillsMust be able to work in variable weather conditionsAble to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidaysMust possess valid passport or State issued driver's license and may travel occasionally for AOG recovery and special projects when requestedAbout STS Technical Services:STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that's partnered with some of the largest names in the aerospace, manufacturing, defense and industrial industries.Our professional recruitment teams put talented individuals to work at client locations all over the world, and we have hundreds of exciting career opportunities for you to explore!If you want to speak to a Recruiting Professional directly, call 1-800-###-####.STS Technical Services is an equal opportunity employer.#IndeedAM
