Lead Admission Admissions Specialists for Recruitment will also meet with high school students and their families, non-traditional students, school officials, community leaders, and business organizations to serve as the liaison between Jefferson State Community College and the Clanton/Pell City service area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Counsel prospective students with admissions application and financial aid processes.
  • Maintain records of recruitment activities and initiatives to include enrollment and retention data and enter prospective student data daily.
  • Travel to Chilton and St. Clair area high schools and other locations to communicate program offerings, services available, and college policies to prospective students.
  • Attend local awards ceremonies at high schools in the community.
  • Assist with special recruitment events on campus such as Preview Days, Open Houses, etc.
  • Assist in developing brochures, fliers, and related materials to promote admissions.
  • Assist with planning and providing New Student Orientation.
  • Promote positive campus/community relations for Enrollment Services and the college.
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining recruiting supplies for the Recruiting Office.
  • Represent the college at various programs and events.
  • Assist during registration as needed.
  • Provide or coordinate campus tours of the college.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • One year of full-time related work experience preferred
