ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Health Services Department: Medial Clinic SUPERVISOR: Clinic Operations Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: $14.00- $18.00 ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening. JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and administrative support for the west clinic(s) intake/appointment clerk staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Supervises intake/appointment clerks under the direction of the Clinic Operations Managers. •Completes monthly and annual evaluations on the intake/appointment clerk staff. •Responsible for working with the Clinical Operations Managers regarding opportunities for improvements needed with the intake/appointment clerk staff. Makes recommendations to improve work processes. •Responsible for processing leave requests and timecard approvals for intake/appointment clerk staff. •Covers appointment desk when other staff is out. •Responsible for blocking all provider schedules for approved leave, CME, etc. •Directs calls to the appropriate person or department. Takes message when the person is not available. •Send letters to patients as needed. •Updates each patient's information in the computer for all appointments. •Directs patients to the appropriate department to address needs. •Make appointments for the Clinic, which includes the scheduling of new patients and patient transfer requests. •Will assist with training of new and current staff. ADDITIOANAL DUTIES: •Perform other duties and projects as required by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: •Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills •The ability to work well with others including the professional staff. •Good organization and analytical skills are needed. •Good judgment is needed. •Working knowledge of computers and the ability to use word processing and spreadsheets. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: •1-2 years medical office experience preferred or one-year experience working closely with management. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: •Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. •Some lifting, bending, stretching, and kneeling may be required. •The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. •Repetitive work at a computer.
