Summary:

To assist the Residential Manager (or ARM/ Assistant Overnight Supervisor or Overnight Supervisor) in the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for each of their assigned individuals by providing support on the overnight hours and leading the program in the mornings in preparation for the day including transportation to the school program.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership for the morning routine at the house before students leave for school by making AM assignments, ensuring all students complete their morning routines including ADLs and breakfast and ensuring medication is given

* Oversee a safe morning transition from the residence to the school program by ensuring all protocols are followed including ensuring all students are safely loaded onto the house vehicles with correct ratio of supervision, completing the AM transition sheet and ensuring all students arrive safely at the school

* Remain awake for the entire shift and to provide support to individuals in the house as needed.

* Complete overnight checklists and reports as outlined by each individual's service plan and/or behavior plan

* Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments

* Assist in the development and implementation of each individual's residential IEP and daily activity schedule

* Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home

* Assist in record keeping and report writing, as assigned

* Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care

* Administer and record individuals' medications, in compliance with MAP

* Able to transport individuals to various locations

* Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations

* Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.

* Engage in de-escalation of individuals

* Able to attend training as required

* Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions:

Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including weekends, holidays and inclement weather situations

Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals

Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs

Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job

Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals

Must be able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI)

The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered

* A valid driver's license

* Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements

* MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within first 90 days of employment

* Reliable transportation to residential homes located in Massachusetts
