Position Type: Student Support Services/Early ChildhoodDate Posted: 12/13/2024Location: Carrollton Learning CentersDistrict: Carrollton Public SchoolsChildcare Lead Caregiver Carrollton Public SchoolsSUMMARY OF POSITION: Shall be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the classroom program. Additional responsibilities (in collaboration with other Lead caregiver) will include overseeing caregiving staff, overall care and supervision of children, scheduling, and meeting DHS Child Care Licensing and CACFP requirements. COMPENSATION: per Childcare Staff Compensation Agreement, up to 40 hours per week REPORTS TO: Carrollton Learning Centers Director QUALIFICATIONS: Essential Skills:
Ability to cooperate with teachers, students, and administration. Ability to keep all student and parent information confidential. Ability to keep a positive attitude in working with students, parents, other staff members, and community members who visit Carrollton Public Schools facilities or programs. Ability and willingness to lead activities (indoor & outdoor), programs, and children. Ability to work 40 hours per week. Must be able to lift and restrain students when necessary. Shall be of good character with high moral and ethical values. Ability to ensure a safe environment for students at all times. Bachelor's degree with a ZS endorsement is preferred. Experience with the Child and Adult Care Food Program preferred. At least three years of experience working with infants/toddlers in a center setting preferred. Other duties as assigned by the building principal/director. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Michigan DHS Child Care licensing. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students. Must be willing to receive additional training to improve job skills and maintain position. Must be at least 19 years of age. Must satisfactorily pass: Law enforcement background check with fingerprinting and personal and professional reference background check. Must receive a satisfactory response to P.A. 189 letter (Misconduct letter).
